American Red Cross certified course providing comprehensive training in handling emergency situations involving adults, children and infants.


  • Certified?: Yes - American Red Cross Certification (certificate valid two years). Meets many OSHA and workplace requirements.
  • Format and location: Community classroom; blended class (50% online / 50% with instructor - watch most of the presentations online at your convenience then meet in class to review the topics and practice the skills).
  • Topics covered: This certified course which will equip you to handle the following situations with confidence before 911 arrives: Using PPE; safely recognizing life-threatening conditions; performing high-quality CPR; using an AED; handline emergencies such as choking, sudden illnesses (shock, stroke, anaphylaxis, opioid overdose), life-threatening bleeding, heat stroke, hypothermia, burns and head, neck and spinal injuries.
  • Class description: There's a lot of information in this course! But we'll go at a pace which makes sure nobody gets lost and will break down the topics to make them approachable and understandable. We'll take the time needed to cover all the topics and there will be opportunities to ask and answer questions. We'll be using adult and infant manikins as well as practicing with real bandage and gauze pads (all the required equipment is provided). This class may require kneeling on the floor (on cushioned pads) and moderate bending and movement. Please get in touch if accommodations are required, happy to do so.
