Topics covered: Per the American Red Cross: This class helps individuals "recognize and care for head, neck and spinal injuries as well as muscle, bone, and joint injuries, including the need for training in the use of a rigid splint and a sling and binder."
Class description: Using trauma-training limbs, we'll follow a few videos and embark on a lot of hands-on training to confidently identify injuries and provide assistance until EMS arrive. A highly-recommended add-on to the benchmark American Red Cross First-aid - CPR - AED course for both individuals and workplace teams. This course covers using splints and slings for injuries. Course length is approximately 60 minutes.
