- Topics covered: This course will equip your cellar and tasting room team to handle the following topics with confidence, for both adults and infants: using PPE; safely recognizing life-threatening conditions; performing high-quality CPR; effectively using an AED; choking emergencies; sudden illnesses (shock, stroke, anaphylaxis, opioid overdose); life-threatening bleeding; heat stroke; hypothermia; burns, head, neck and spinal injuries.
- Class description: This class will be held at your location and we'll focus on hazards commonly found in winery situations. All key concepts are thoroughly covered and there will be time to ask questions. Different learner styles will be accommodated. We'll be using modern, sanitized manikins (adult and infant) as well as practicing with real bandage and gauze pads on simulation wounds. All the equipment is provided. The course includes video content, instructor demonstrations and hands-on practice.
